Hi all,

We are about to start using a new web app, DataMapper, to map and track the personal data we collect about our customers/contacts.

This will help us all make sure we only store data we need and continuously monitor the personal information we do keep to protect it from leaks and breaches.

In ____days, you will each get an email invitation to create a DataMapper account.

For each storage location, you select folders to scan. The idea is to choose any folders that may contain sensitive company/information we've collected, so make sure all folders containing company information are included in the scan — and double-check that none of your own non-work-related files are in the folders you select.

Our admins will be able to see all our results, but each of you can also view your own results from your dashboard and risk documents pages. If you discover personal data that you no longer need, go ahead and delete it. Each department will focus on different types of risk data, that will be defined by department heads: ___________________________________.
