Connect to Google with PrivacyHub DataMapper (https://datamapper.bysafeonline.com)

To connect Google Drive and Gmail with PrivacyHub DataMapper, your company must have a Google Workplace (Gsuites) plan. 
Your Google Workplace admin can add PrivacyHub DataMapper as a trusted app to consent for read data access to Google Drive and/or Gmail. Once this is done, all your company's invited users will be able start scanning data from these locations.

How to add PrivacyHub DataMapper as a trusted app:
1.Sign in to the Google Admin console at https://admin.google.com/
2.From the navigation menu, expand 'Security' 
3.Expand ‘Access and data control’ and select ‘API controls’


4. Select 'MANAGE THIRD-PARTY APP ACCESS'


5. Open the ‘Add app’ dropdown, and select ‘OAuth App Name Or Client ID’


6. Search with the following OAuth client ids
To enable your users to connect their Google Drive to PrivacyHub DataMapper:
520676244789-msgit2unoe32fn9l0vtn85308rh4sf4v.apps.googleusercontent.com

To enable your users to connect their Gmail to PrivacyHub DataMapper:
520676244789-437en61v2mvkvbds5a5f68m6b1sg9ika.apps.googleusercontent.com

You will see 'PrivacyHub DataMapper' as a result.
Select the application 'PrivacyHub DataMapper'.
7. Check the box with the client ID


8. Select "Trusted: Can access all Google services"


9. You should now see DataMapper listed as a trusted app. Note that DataMapper must have access set to ‘Trusted’ (not ‘Limited’) in order for Google Drive and Gmail to be enabled.

You will have to repeat the process once for each connection to Google Drive and Gmail

10. You and your company's invited users will now be able to connect Google Drive and Gmail with Connectid DataMapper.

  1. In case you cannot authorize or the page is re-directed to Data Locations and you cannot click "select folders to scan", here is what to do after you have done the previous steps:

First click on this link: https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/data-and-privacy?authuser=1


Login as per usual to your google account and go to Data & Privacy as shown below:

Then in here, scroll down until you find: Third party apps & services

Search for "Privacyhub DataMapper" or simply "DataMapper" and click on it. In the bottom of the page you then click on "Delete all connections you have with Privacyhub DataMapper" - and confirm.


Then go back to DataMapper and try and authorize again. You should now be able to choose folders to scan in Gmail 🥳
