About this release

This version of DataMapper will identify and classify personal data within images.

Features

DataMapper can now detect images that may qualify as personal data, including images embedded in email bodies. Image files detected will be shown on the risk documents table with options to preview and access each file in its original location to make changes, move or delete the file if necessary. 

The new image-scanning feature has:

• Optimized detection of driver's license numbers within images
• Optimized detection of document category for image files

Image formats supported

• jpg
• jpeg
• png
• heic

Image sizes supported

• Phone images of any size (the metadata will be registered)
• Screenshots and other images from 150kb to 6-7mb

Images excluded

DataMapper will filter out and exclude images from graphic sources (such as adobe) dslr cameras, etc.
