How to set-up: Microsoft Private Tenant

Here are the steps we need to take (again) with links to Microsoft documentation on “how-to”.

You can already start today - or as soon as possible - with the creation of a subscription in the tenant (step 1). Below you find the 9-steps process to do this:

  1. Customer creates new subscription in their own tenant dedicated to Datamapper (How to: go to link)
  2. Customer shares tenant-id and subscription-id with Safe Online (how to: go to link)
  3. Safe Online will provide a link to customer. Link contains tenant-id and service-principle
    • Done manually
  4. Customer-admin will approve the registration of service-principle of Datamapper. Now customer can see Datamapper-app in their tenant. (How to: go to link)
    • Microsoft-approval will inform customer-admin about the permissions to be approved
  5. Customer gives owner and user-access-administrator roles to Datamapper-app on the subscription
  6. Customer and Safe Online will discuss customer need and decide on
    • storage size
    • service tier (what kind of ressources)
    • Safe Online will create new EDGE in customer tenant
  7. Now Safe Online can create the required ressources for Datamapper in the Customer’s tenant
  8. Customer data will be processed and stored in CORE with customer
  9. Estimated time for entire process - 1-2 working days (depending on how we can create ressources with service-principle)
