DataMapper: Enterprise Application and Creation Process
Enterprise Application Consent and Creation Process
Overview
To enable our integration within your organization’s Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) environment, we require Global Administrator consent. This consent allows our applications to be registered securely in your tenant as Enterprise Applications.
Once consent is granted, Microsoft automatically creates the necessary Enterprise Applications in your tenant under the Enterprise Applications section of the Entra Admin Center.
Email with Consent Links
You will receive an email from our team containing seven secure consent links:
Application Type |
Number of Links |
Purpose |
DataMapper |
1 |
To create users in the system |
DataLocation |
6 |
To access the different Microsoft Datalocations |
Each link corresponds to a specific application that must be granted consent individually. All links open the official Microsoft Entra ID consent prompt.
Step-by-Step Process
1. Receive Consent Email
Our system sends an email to your designated Global Administrator containing seven Microsoft consent URLs — one for the DataMapper app and six for DataLocations.
2. Global Administrator Provides Consent
• Open each link in the email one by one.
• Sign in using your work or school account with Global Administrator privileges.
• Review the permissions requested by the application.
• Select “Accept” to provide consent on behalf of your organization.
⚠️ Important: Consent must be provided for all seven links to complete the setup successfully.
3. Enterprise Application Creation
Once consent is granted:
• Microsoft Entra ID automatically registers each approved application as an Enterprise Application within your tenant.
• You can view these under: Microsoft Entra Admin Center → Enterprise Applications → All Applications.
You should see:
• One application named similar to DataMapper.
• Six applications named similar to {{DataLocationName}} connector for PrivacyHub Customer {{4digit number}}
4. Verification
After all consents are provided:
• Our backend system verifies the successful creation of all Enterprise Applications.
• Once confirmed, your environment is ready for use.
• You may receive a confirmation email or follow-up communication from our team.
Security and Permissions
• Only Global Administrators can grant tenant-wide consent.
• The consent process is fully handled through Microsoft’s secure OAuth 2.0 framework.
• No credentials are shared with or stored by our system.
• All applications are registered directly within your organization’s tenant and can be reviewed, managed, or removed anytime.
How to Verify the Enterprise Applications
1. Sign in to Microsoft Entra Admin Center (https://entra.microsoft.com).
2. Go to Enterprise Applications → All Applications.
3. Search for the following:
- DataMapper
- connector for PrivacyHub
4. Confirm that each application appears as Enabled for users to sign in.
